Macaroni & Cheese

Preheat oven to 375°F

  • 125 g macaroni

Cook pasta al dente.

  • 2 Tbsp, 2 tsp (38 g) butter

Melt butter in saucepan.

  • 2 Tbsp, 2 tsp (21 g) all-purpose flour

Add flour, stirring together to make a roux.

  • 1 14 cup (296 g) milk

Slowly add milk, ensuring that the consistency stays thick.

  • 0.25 onion, finely diced
  • 14 tsp dijon mustard
  • 150 g grated cheddar cheese
  • 18 tsp (1 g) salt
  • pinch of black pepper
  • pinch of nutmeg

Stir in onion, cheese, mustard, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.

Combine sauce with pasta.

  • 38 g grated cheddar cheese

Sprinkle cheese on top.

  • 3 Tbsp (23 g) bread crumbs
  • 1 12 tsp (7 g) butter, melted

Toss butter and bread crumbs together and then sprinkle bread crumbs on top.

Bake at 375F for 30 minutes or until golden on top.
