Double Fudge Chocolate Cake

Scale: clear | x0.25 | x0.5 | x1.5 | x2 | x3 | x4

  • 6 (306 g) large eggs
  • 3 cups (600 g) white granulated sugar
  • 6 Tbsp (85 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups (624 g) vegetable oil
  • 1 12 cup (192 g) cocoa, packed
  • 1 12 cup buttermilk
  • 3 tsp. (15 g) vanilla extract

Beat in order, adding ingredients one at a time

  • 6 34 cups (844 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp, 1 12 tsp (29 g) baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp, 1 12 tsp (23 g) baking powder

Sift together and add to liquid mixture

  • 3 cups (710 g) water, boiling

Fold in boiling water

Place mixture in two prepared, round 9” cake pans.

  • 1 12 cup (228 g) Chipits chocolate chips

Sprinkle with ½ cup chocolate chips.

Bake for 25 minutes.
