Double Fudge Chocolate Cake

Scale: clear | x0.25 | x0.5 | x1.5 | x2 | x3 | x4

  • 2 (102 g) large eggs
  • 1 cup (200 g) white granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp (28 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (208 g) vegetable oil
  • 12 cup (64 g) cocoa, packed
  • 12 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp (5 g) vanilla extract

Beat in order, adding ingredients one at a time

  • 2 14 cups (281 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 12 tsp (10 g) baking soda
  • 1 12 tsp (8 g) baking powder

Sift together and add to liquid mixture

  • 1 cup (237 g) water, boiling

Fold in boiling water

Place mixture in two prepared, round 9” cake pans.

  • 12 cup (76 g) Chipits chocolate chips

Sprinkle with ½ cup chocolate chips.

Bake for 25 minutes.
