Brown ground beef and vegetables in large saucepan.
Mix corn starch and cold water, then dump into pot and stir.
Add spices and garlic to pot.
Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, and diced tomatoes and bring to a boil.
Simmer (and still once in a while) or boil (and stir frequently) until the the chili becomes very thick.
Stir in kidney beans and corn and cook for a few minutes.
