Apple Crisp

Delicious easy-to-make dessert

This is my mom's recipe and she has probably made it about one hundred times now.

Grease a 1.5 L baking dish

  • 6 34 cups Granny Smith apples, sliced

Prepare apples, measure, and arrange in dish.

  • 3 cups (600 g) white granulated sugar

Sprinkle with granulated sugar

  • 14 tsp (2 g) lemon juice
  • 12 cup (118 g) water

Combine lemon juice and water. Poor over apples.

  • 13 cup, 2 tsp (85 g) unsalted butter
  • 34 cup (184 g) packed brown sugar

Cream butter and gradually add brown sugar.

  • 12 cup (62 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup, 2 Tbsp rolled oats, large

Blend in flour and oats. Spread over apples.

Bake at 375°F until apples are tender, about 35 minutes.

Serve warm, plain, or with ice cream.
